Gentlemen,
I watched Joshua Doss’s Thirdway Conference breakdown on the Manosphere with genuine interest. You were refreshingly honest, Josh: the Progressive Left spent decades defining what men shouldn’t be, but never built a compelling alternative for what men should be. That vacuum is real, and it’s why the Left keeps losing ground with men across the board — White, Latino, and a growing slice of Black men included. I agree with you on the diagnosis. The difference is I’ve been part of the solution that actually works.
Since the Black Manosphere Conclave launched in late 2021 (inspired by Kevin Samuels’ small MIT sessions), we’ve built something the Left has never matched: a real-world, “touch grass” community that delivers measurable excellence for Black men financially, relationally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. We’re now in year six. Houston 2024 drew over 400 brothers at the Four Seasons. Miami 2025 sold hundreds of tickets before we even announced the full lineup. We run STEM training through TheoWAF’s “Theo University,” fitness and business sessions with Shannon Rawls, self-defense and cultural content through my “Mumia Obsidian Ali Experience,” and the concurrent 5F Conference that now draws Black women who choose to align with our program. Zero scandals. Zero incidents. Black women present and protected. We published the 167-page “BMC vs. The World” SWOT analysis last summer — pitting us against every major Black-male organization (100 Black Men, NAACP initiatives, Urban League, My Brother’s Keeper, etc.) — and none come close. That’s not bragging; that’s data.
You already admitted the Left failed to build the alternative. The Right and the broader Manosphere succeeded because we did the one thing progressives refuse to do: we listened. We asked brothers what they actually want — economic mobility, family authority, personal responsibility, unapologetic masculinity, and a fair shot without lectures or shame — and we delivered it. That’s why the Manosphere helped deliver the 2024 election (see Wired’s “The Manosphere Won”). That’s why Trump improved with Black men (21–24% nationally per AP VoteCast/Pew validated data, up from 8–13% in 2020), especially in battlegrounds like PA. That’s why the Democrats are hemorrhaging White and Latino men and seeing a slow but steady drip of Black men — and why they’ve reduced themselves to a regional party locked in coastal enclaves and big Blue cities. Kamala proved it in ’24. Jasmine Crockett proved it again in her ’26 primary loss. The single-female base is now the dominant force, and it’s a narrow path.
The numbers don’t lie. Another 10–15 points on the Black male side (dropping Dem loyalty into the mid-60s) plus continued gains with White and Latino men, and the GOP locks the map for the decade. Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes are the perfect example — trending solidly Red outside Philly and Pittsburgh. JD Vance, right next door in Ohio, is perfectly positioned to run that play in 2028.
Here’s the part progressives never want to hear: the Welfare State has been the most destructive “meddling” since the 1960s. Out-of-wedlock births in Black America went from ~25% in 1960 to over 70% today — and the timing lines up directly with the Great Society expansion. Frederick Douglass had it right: “Do nothing with us!” Your doing has already played the mischief. The current system undermines the natural order — God, Man, Wife, Kids — and strips Black men of their economic and moral authority in the home. Either end it or reform it ruthlessly (time limits, work requirements, remove marriage penalties). Black men want to get to the bag, call the shots in their own homes, and build legacy — not compete with government checks.
On identity politics and the LGBT push: Black men don’t like it when the Civil Rights narrative gets usurped and cultural mandates get foisted on the public square with political backing. Full legal protections for every American? Absolutely. Compelled speech, “Gay Cake” cases, or gender ideology in schools and sports? No. Black men want to protect their daughters and keep the focus on economic mobility and family strength. Same with Planned Parenthood: end the federal funding stream and let states and the private sector handle it. That’s federalism, not cruelty.
The Right’s advantage is simple: we treat men like men. No lectures, no shame, no special victim status. We promote universal values — rule of law without regard to race or class, strong national defense, private property, small business ownership, gun rights, and “Mother, Father, Sister, Brother” family structure. We show, don’t tell: diverse images of Black, White, and Latino men succeeding together under the same rules. Trump and Vance already proved the podcast circuit works — hit the White Manosphere rooms and the Black ones again in 2028. Lean into the aspirational masculinity and “tell it like it is” authenticity that Black men clearly respect. Black men have been starved for that unapologetic provider-protector energy. Trump’s wealth, success, and sleeves-rolled-up style resonates because it’s real. Vance can carry that torch.
So here’s the invitation, Josh, Jason, Kier, and the rest of the brothers on the progressive side: stop hating on success and come see it for yourselves. The Black Manosphere Conclave is hosting its second annual 5F Conference in Vegas this year. Bring your data, your questions, and your Mrs. (if applicable). Walk the floor. Talk to the brothers who went from broke to six figures in STEM, the married couples we helped build, the men who found purpose instead of excuses. We don’t need special treatment. We just need the same fair shot everyone else gets — and we’re proving every day that it works.
The Left failed because it lectured. The Right succeeded because it listened. The Black Manosphere Conclave is what listening actually looks like in real time.
We’re not going anywhere. The results speak for themselves.
Come see for yourself.
Respectfully,
Mumia Obsidian Ali

P.S.: Josh — you already admitted the Left has no alternative. The Conclave IS the alternative. The door is open.
